Gentle paths to the Stöttlalm

Trail description
Stöttlalm above the Stöttlalmsee at dusk against the Mieminger Kette silhouette near Mieming in Tyrol

From the Parkplatz Sonnenplateau car park in Obermieming, signposted paths lead you through the idyllic Mieminger Sonnenplateau up to our mountain hut — and back again at a leisurely pace along an alternative route.

From the Parkplatz Sonnenplateau, head right through a gate and follow the field track in a north-easterly direction to the first fork. Keep left here and follow the "Stöttlalm" signs — the path climbs gently and leads you straight towards the imposing Mieminger Kette. After a striking water tower you reach the next fork, just before the lower Stöttlbrücke. Keep right here — and within a few minutes you arrive at the Stöttlalm at 980 metres, set picturesquely along the upper edge of the golf course.

From the Stöttlalm, continue eastwards above the golf course. After a few minutes the path branches off to the right at a junction and leads you gently downhill along the eastern edge of the golf course. Past the Wildermieming settlement, the trail joins a crossing road — keep right here and stroll on to the small chapel beyond the Greenvieh and the Alpenresort Schwarz. After the chapel, turn right again and you are back at your starting point.

Classified as family-friendly (mountain trails). Please check the current weather and wear suitable footwear.
