The Stöttlalm sits on the Mieminger Sonnenplateau in Tyrol, Austria, at an altitude of 980 metres. The address is Obermieming 141e, 6414 Mieming. The Almhütte is reached via a 1.5 km hiking trail from the Parkplatz Sonnenplateau car park (30–40 minutes on foot).

Yes, the Stöttlalm is open every day, year-round, from 9:30 to 17:00. The Almhütte is accessible in winter too — the trail is cleared, a shuttle service is available, and when there is snow the path is perfect for tobogganing. In storms, thunderstorms or heavy snowfall the hut at 980 metres may close at short notice; if in doubt, give us a quick call before you set off on +43 699 15 212 200.

The alpine breakfast costs € 31,– per person, the hut brunch € 43,– per person. The brunch includes all hot drinks and Prosecco. Both are served daily from 9:30 until 12:00 and 13:00 respectively. A table reservation is required at +43 699 15 212 200.

Yes, the Stöttlalm is a much-loved wedding venue in Tyrol. Both celebrant-led ceremonies and civil ceremonies are possible right beside the Stöttlalmsee. The event package includes exclusive use of the Almhütte from 18:00 for up to 100 guests, with menu, drinks and shuttle service included.

Yes, the trail is classified as family-friendly and is easy to manage with a pushchair. The circular hike is 4.6 km long with 124 metres of elevation gain and is rated as an easy walk.

Yes, dogs are warmly welcome everywhere at the Stöttlalm — on the hike, on the terrace and in the Stube. We are happy to provide a water bowl.

For à-la-carte visits between 11:00 and 17:00 we deliberately don't take reservations — simply drop by. Only for the alpine breakfast and the hut brunch do we kindly ask for a table reservation at +43 699 15 212 200, as these are served buffet-style. Reservations are taken by phone only.

Alongside the alpine breakfast and the hut brunch, the Stöttlalm offers à-la-carte cuisine from head chef Thomas, a Törggelen menu from October to November (€ 54,– per person), cheese fondue (€ 54,– per person) and Fondue Chinoise (€ 56,– – € 62,– per person). The kitchen is Tyrolean-Austrian with alpine specialities.

The event package for private celebrations from 18:00 is a flat € 1.800,– for up to 10 guests. Each additional guest is € 165,–. It includes exclusive use of the Stöttlalm, a 4-course menu or barbecue buffet, a curated drinks selection, shuttle service and on-site staff. Extending beyond 2:00 in the morning costs € 250,– per hour.

The Stöttlalm is a setting for weddings, birthday parties, family celebrations, Christmas parties, corporate events, confirmations, incentives, Törggelen evenings and fondue evenings. The Almhütte has room for up to 100 guests.

By car: take the A12 Inntalautobahn motorway to the Mötz/Reutte exit, then head towards Mieming. Park at the Parkplatz Sonnenplateau in Obermieming (paid parking). By public transport: take the train to Innsbruck Hbf, then regional bus line 4176 to Obermieming and the 'Gh Post' stop, from where it is a 10-minute walk to the car park. From the car park it is a 30–40 minute hike to the Stöttlalm.

The Stöttlalm has 4.8 out of 5 stars from over 1,000 Google reviews and 4.9 out of 5 stars from over 280 Tripadvisor reviews (as of September 2026). In 2025 the Stöttlalm was honoured with the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Best of the Best award. The current figures can be viewed directly on Google and Tripadvisor.

Swimming is not possible in the Stöttlalmsee. The lake is a scenic highlight and a natural spectacle — perfect for lingering, for photos or as an aperitif spot.

The Stöttlalm accepts cash, debit cards, credit cards and mobile payments via NFC (Apple Pay, Google Pay).

The sun terrace and the conservatory of the Stöttlalm are accessible at ground level. For the journey up, a shuttle service from the Alpenresort Schwarz is available on request — please register at +43 5264 5212 200.
